Mission

The Simulation Innovation and Modeling Center's mission is to advance computer-aided engineering techniques in research, design, and manufacturing in industry.

Given its partnerships with the College of Engineering and centers like the Aerospace Research Center, the Center for Automotive Research, and the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence, the SIMCenter offers researchers and students the opportunity to collaborate across all phases of product and manufacturing development.

SIMCenter has close ties with the transportation industry and continues to develop relationships in additional industries as more companies see the benefits of CAE in their product design and development, which offers students applied training and valuable contacts.
