On Thursday, July 20, 2017 a group from the SIMCenter made up of faculty, staff, and graduate students traveled to Unverferth House on King Avenue to give a few hours for cleaning, outside maintenance, and meal preparation. Windows and floors were cleaned, furniture was dusted, grass was mowed, shrubbery trimmed, weeds pulled, and sandwiches were made with mathematical precision.

Founded in 1989 Unverferth House offers temporary accommodations to families of patients at OSU's Wexner Medical Center with priority going to heart transplant patients.
