“Rapid Nanometer Mapping of Dissimilar Metal Weld Joints,” a project involving SIMCenter Research Scientist Ali Nassiri, was recognized at the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2017 Meeting held in St. Louis, Missouri from August 6-10. Prior to joining SIMCenter, Nassiri held a post-doctoral appointment with the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) where he collaborated with Professor Antonio Ramirez’s research group.
Recent Welding Engineering graduate Genevieve Lee (M.Sc. 2017) presented the work and received the MSA Student Poster Award and the M & M Student Scholar Award.
