The Center for Automotive Research along with the Honda-Ohio State Partnership hosted a group of high school students for a week long summer camp focused on automotive engineering. The students had the opportunity to hear from a variety of engineers and researchers that specialize in different areas of the automotive industry, attend field trips and try their hand at various engineering methods. One of their sessions was with SIMCenter's Education Manager & Researcher, Emily Nutwell on computer aided engineering. She explained, "Students today need to understand that engineering solutions now require the use of computational tools in order to solve complex problems creatively and efficiently. That can only happen if we can take opportunities such as this to introduce them to these tools along with hands-on experiences."
